POSITION SUMMARY:

As an Inside Sales Representative at Independent Waste, you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities and maintaining relationships with existing customers. You will primarily conduct outbound calls to potential customers to promote our dumpster services and secure sales. In addition, you will also respond to inbound inquiries, provide quotes, and assist customers with placing orders. You will work closely with our sales team to achieve sales targets and ensure customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a proactive and results-driven attitude, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced sales environment.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Our Inside Salespeople are expected to build strong partnerships with customer partners and assist corporate partners in furthering Independent Waste’s growth. The following pages provide more specific examples.



  • Customer Partners

    • Conduct outbound calls to generate new business leads and promote dumpster services.

    • Respond to inbound inquiries and provide customer information, quotes, and assistance.

    • Build and maintain relationships with existing customers to encourage repeat business.

    • Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate dumpster sizes and rental options.

    • Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and address any issues or concerns.

    • Meet or exceed sales targets by achieving monthly and quarterly sales goals.

    • Utilize sales tools and CRM software to track customer interactions, leads, and sales progress.

    • Collaborate with the sales team to develop and implement sales strategies and initiatives.


  • Corporate Partners

    • Working alongside Independent Waste’s management to develop and monitor key performance metrics

    • Strong partnership and communication with the Operations and Market Managers to best position our driver partners for success in key technical areas

    • Regular communication and collaboration with Market Managers to help increase cross-market saturation and efficiencies.

    • Setting appointments for in-person meetings for Market Managers.

    • Qualify internal leads.

    • Creating new channels to source leads.


  • Other Duties

    • Cross-train internally with Customer Service.

    • Cross-train on Accounts Receivable and invoicing.

    • Other opportunities as management see fit to build value to Independent Waste.



MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate’s Degree or a minimum of 1 year of relevant sales experience. (Required)

  • Excellent Communication Skills

  • Customer Service Skills

  • History of success in sales.

  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented with a strong desire to achieve financial success.

  • Ability to work independently and as a team.

  • Capability to take initiative to seek out opportunities for additional compensation.
