Summary Description

Responsible for developing strategies to improve employee engagement, satisfaction and overall well-being. 


Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Functions:


  • Complies with and ensures compliance with all Tri-M safety policies and procedures.
  • Complies with and ensures compliance with all Tri-M employment policies and procedures including standards of conduct and appearance to reflect positively on the Company.
  • Develop strategies to create a safe, positive and productive workplace, foster working together to identify and manage improvement and changes.
  • Conduct employee engagement surveys, analyzes data, and develops action items.
  • Serve as organizations culture champion, ensuring policies, procedures and actions align with company’s core fundamentals and values.
  • Provides support and advice to manager on how to engage their teams and effectively create an employee experience consistent with our fundamentals and values.
  • Support efforts to enhance diversity, equity, and including within the workplace, fostering an environment where all employees feel valued and respected. 
  • Processes terminations including employee exit interviews, PPE return, and ensuring offboarding employee has all necessary documentation.
  • Processes unemployment compensation information requests following company protocols and alerts HR Manager of potential to appeal UC awards.
  • Administers employee life event and recognition programs.
  • Assists with the planning and implementation of corporate events.
  • Assists with HR projects and special assignments, as needed. 
  • Responsible for set-up and maintenance of current and archived personnel files and ensures timely filing of documents.
  • Keeps abreast of licensing requirement.  Assists employees with processing and renewing required licensing.
  • Ensures required employment law posters are current and posted on SharePoint.


Job Qualifications 

Skills/Educational Requirements:


  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Communications or related field. 
  • Minimum one year work experience in human resources or related field.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
  • Ability to handle difficulty situation in a professional, constructive manner.
  • Intermediate level computer literacy including word processing, formatting spreadsheets, processing emails and database management.
  • Good organizational skills and demonstrated ability to prioritize to meet deadlines.
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work as a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality. 
  • General knowledge of construction business desirable but not required.


Physical Requirements:


  • Working 40 hours/week, scheduled in 8-to-10-hour shifts.
  • Vision adequate for daily and consistent computer use and reading.
  • Sitting 6 to 8 hours/day.
  • Lifting weights of 0 to 30 lbs. from floor to above shoulders.
  • Repetitive use of hands for writing, typing, data entry.
