Key Responsibilities:
- Assess individual patient needs and develop personalized treatment plans that incorporate recreational and activity interventions.
- Collaborate with clinical team members to integrate activity therapy methods and techniques into treatment plans.
- Design and implement physical, social, and creative programming to promote patient recovery, resiliency, and independence.
- Provide education and skill-building opportunities to patients to support their mental health and wellbeing.
- Work closely with patients to identify and address their unique needs and goals.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Recreational Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or a related field.
- Three years of clinical experience in a psychiatric setting, with at least one year of experience applying activity therapy methods and techniques.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
