Firearms Inventory Specialist

Responsibilities:
Paperwork Processing & Compliance:
- Facilitate the completion of required paperwork for firearm purchases, transfers, and background checks.
- Ensure all processes adhere to federal, state, and local regulations governing firearm sales and transfers.
- Verify the accuracy and completeness of paperwork to prevent compliance issues.
- Stay current with evolving firearm regulations and update store procedures accordingly.
- Process and manage all billing, invoicing, taxes, and payroll among other operational tasks as needed.
- Perform regular paperwork audits to reconcile discrepancies and maintain accuracy.
- Maintain organized records of transactions, paperwork, and compliance-related documents.
- Generate reports as needed to track inventory levels, sales trends, and compliance metrics.
- Prepare customer orders for pickup or shipping, verifying order accuracy and proper documentation.
- Coordinate with sales and front-of-house staff to ensure seamless order fulfillment.
- Ensure all shipping and transfer processes are in compliance with applicable regulations.
- Serve as the point of contact for compliance-related inquiries from staff and customers.
- Train and educate staff on compliance requirements, ensuring a thorough understanding of regulations.
- Conduct internal audits to identify potential compliance gaps and recommend corrective actions.
- Assist with administrative tasks, including filing, record-keeping, and maintaining records of firearm repairs and warranties.
- Support the management team in implementing compliance-related policies and procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree or relevant certifications preferred).
- In-depth knowledge of firearm regulations, paperwork processes, and compliance requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and paperwork processing.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and data entry.
- Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and data analysis.
- Responsible and ethical conduct when dealing with firearms and sensitive compliance information.
- Previous inventory management experience with firearms
- In a role that required managing an inventory management system
