Physical Requirements:
- Role may involve physical activities such as bending and lifting.
- Deliver effective leadership to the retail team, fostering a positive and productive work atmosphere. Establish clear performance standards and offer support and direction to team members.
- Manage the inventory control system, including receiving shipments, stocking shelves, and conducting regular inventory checks. Ensure optimal stock levels while minimizing surplus inventory to enhance profitability.
- Guarantee strict compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to the sale and storage of firearms and ammunition. Develop and implement compliance training and protocols for staff.
- Promote a customer-centric culture, ensuring all patrons receive exceptional service. Address customer inquiries, complaints, and escalations in a professional and timely manner.
- Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to devise strategies that drive sales and revenue growth. Monitor sales performance and implement initiatives to meet sales objectives.
- Ensure a secure and safe environment for both staff and customers. Establish security measures, oversee surveillance systems, and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
- Assist in budget development and manage operational costs to achieve financial goals. Analyze financial data to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving measures.
- Assess training needs for team members and conduct training sessions on product knowledge, safety procedures, and customer service excellence.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate favorable terms, and ensure timely delivery of products.
- Regularly evaluate and enhance operational processes to boost efficiency and streamline workflows.
Experience:
- Demonstrated experience in retail operations management, ideally within the firearms industry.
- Comprehensive understanding of firearms, ammunition, and related products. Familiarity with laws and regulations governing firearms sales and storage.
- Proven ability to lead and inspire a team to achieve business objectives.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with customers, staff, and suppliers.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- High level of attention to detail to ensure compliance and accuracy in inventory management and documentation.
- Strong problem-solving skills to tackle operational challenges and resolve customer issues.
- Competence in using computer systems, point-of-sale software, and inventory management applications.
- Uphold the highest standards of ethics and integrity when managing firearms and sensitive information.
