How to Qualify:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
- Proven experience in payroll and benefits administration.
- Knowledge of HRIS systems, preferably experience with UKG.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Payroll Processing:
- Process payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with international, federal, state, and local regulations.
- Confirm and verify wages, overtime, deductions, commissions, bonuses, and tax withholdings.
- Ensure payroll is processed in a timely manner and employees are paid correctly.
- Collaborate with supervisors, management, and HR to ensure accurate time data
- Handle payroll-related inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and reports.
Benefits Administration:
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, disability, life insurance, workers comp, and other benefits.
- Review, reconcile, and generate monthly benefits bill for our external providers
- Coordinate benefits enrollment including open enrollment and qualifying events, changes, and terminations.
- Assist employees with benefits-related questions and issues.
- Ensure compliance with benefits regulations and company policies.
- Maintain accurate benefits records and manage the benefits database.
Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure compliance with all payroll and benefits-related laws and regulations.
- Prepare and submit required reports, such as tax filings and retirement plan reports.
- Assist with audits and ensure accurate documentation is provided.
Employee Support:
- Provide excellent customer service to employees regarding payroll and benefits.
- Conduct benefits orientations and assist with the onboarding process for new hires.
- Assist employees with understanding their payroll and benefits options.
- Develop communication strategies for employees on how to best use their plans.
Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for improving payroll and benefits processes.
- Implement changes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Stay updated on industry trends and changes in regulations.
