The selected candidate will conduct fieldwork in Oregon (On-site) by interacting regularly with clients, organizing project meetings and documentation, and implementing procedures to ensure accurate and timely reporting including providing mentor expertise for a team of project geologists.
Job OverviewThe Sr Project Geologist will work on environmental projects like Emergency Response, Environmental Site Assessments, soil and groundwater characterization, air sampling, remediation system operation and maintenance, lithologic logging, well construction monitoring, water and wastewater treatment facility monitoring, and water resources activities. In addition to mapping, sampling of waste, soil, and water, and where needed field test applications. Write project reports, analyze, and interpret data, and prepare final reports to be submitted to the Principal Geologist and clients. Visit job sites and interact with clients and teammates to ensure all jobs are delivered on time and on budget.
Qualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, or related field
  • 5 to 10 years in geological assessments or environmental consulting
  • Strong working knowledge of federal and state environmental issues, regulations, and policies including experience interacting with governmental regulatory agencies
  • Ability to effectively manage personal and administrative functions
  • Willingness to travel and undertake fieldwork within the western regional US
  • Strong commitment to safety and staff development
  • Self-starter, quick learner, and effective communication skills
  • Ability to work individually and as a team member
  • Technical writing competency
  • Strong technical and computer skills
  • Proficiency in Word and PowerPoint with specific expertise in Excel
  • GIS experience a plus
Typically works Monday - Thursday with some traveling Friday, overnight, and weekend work.Dental, Life, Medical, Vision and Paid Time Off.
Salary $110,000.00+ DOE
