We are currently seeking to add a Project Accountant to our dynamic team in Portland, Oregon.

$24 to $34 hourly, full-time with benefits, in-office

This position works primarily with our Industrial Hygiene department, whose clients include school districts, manufacturing, and private and public organizations. From project set up to preparing final invoice packages, the Project Accountant works closely with our Project Managers. The ideal candidate is upbeat with a positive attitude, thinks strategically, exemplifies precise attention to detail, and has excellent interpersonal and communication skills. In addition, the successful candidate will possess the independence to complete tasks and projects quickly, react with appropriate urgency to situations requiring quick turnaround, and take effective action with or without direction.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years direct experience, or a bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Skilled time management and organization skills
  • Valid Driver's License

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience with database management
  • Experience within the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry a plus.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work in our accounting software to set up new projects.
  • Maintain project related records, including contract and change orders
  • Assist with monthly review of project revenue
  • Prepare final invoice package for all billable projects
  • Monitor aged receivables and support project managers with collections
  • Special projects as requested
