IronRoad is conducting a confidential search for a Business Development Manager for our Alabama client that is a full-scale Air Filtration Manufacturing and IAQ Distribution, Consulting, and Service company selling and installing high-demand products that create healthier indoor environments. Our client is growing rapidly, and we are working closely with them seeking high caliber talent to join their team. Currently, we are sourcing for a Business Development Manager that will leverage her/his experience, knowledge, logistical and analytical expertise to grow the company's revenue. We are looking for an individual that has high energy, great vibe and knows how to build wonderful client relationships and a solid book of business. This position is for doers, you will be generating your leads and finding new clients and new businesses to talk to every day. Candidates will be covering the entire state of Alabama, you must live in Alabama as you will be prospecting, meeting clients, referral sources etc. This is a hybrid position where you will be working at home and in the office.

The Business Development Manager will be selling air filter services and products directly to industrial, commercial, and retail businesses who prioritize indoor air quality and HVAC preventive maintenance. School systems, government municipalities, manufacturing facilities, large industrial facilities, hospitals, retail chain stores are examples of our client's customer base. You will be selling full turn-key Air Filtration Preventive Maintenance service contracts and developing Direct Filter Sales relationships when customers need filters, and our clients Just-In-Time filter delivery program. You are responsible for increasing top line revenue and margin by selling our clients products and services


Job Responsibilities

  • Work proactively and reactively with Management and Operational team-members to develop sales and marketing strategies that highlight our client's capabilities.
  • Regularly present to Management and Operation team leaders the status and results of opportunities, plans, tactics, ideas, roadblocks, best practices, etc.
  • Prospect, qualify, and close new sales leads that align with our clients identified Standard Business Processes.
  • Meet and/or exceed all monthly/quarterly/annual individual and team quotas and other key performance metrics.
  • Schedule meetings and presentations with prospects. Assist Operations team with presentations as needed.
  • Create, plan, and deliver presentations on company service offerings.
  • Maintain a well-developed pipeline of prospects.
  • Develop strong, ongoing relationships with prospects and customers through appropriate in person and virtual communications and activities.
  • Effectively close leads by following all sales processes completely and thoroughly.
  • Communicate customer and prospect successes and concerns to appropriate departments internally.
  • Complete all steps of the customer onboarding process every time to ensure internal teams are prepared to provide prompt and excellent/correct service.
  • Coordinate with other team members and departments to optimize the sales effort.
  • Be a role model for transparency, integrity, and commitment to excellence.
  • Responsibilities can be adjusted as necessary

Qualifications Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Communications, or related field, or 5 years of sufficient relevant work experience
  • 3-5 years of sales experience, preferably in the commercial HVAC/R industry or similar trade.
  • Proven ability to consistently meet and exceed sales quotas.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing customer relationships.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Highly self-motivated and work with a sense of urgency
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Willing to travel while maintaining high level of production.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Full-Time Position

65K Base Salary + Commission + Residual revenue
