SUMMARY
Responsible for training and supervising scheduling coordinators, Plan, organize, lead, monitor and
control schedules and the delivery of care to patients. Oversee the processing of documentation, payroll,
and billing of visits to patients being serviced by VNA Plus and VNA. Responsible for mastery level of
knowledge of the Agency's computer system to facilitate the accurate record keeping necessary to meet
Agency requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Complies with agency policies and procedures.
2. Supervises and trains scheduling coordinators.
3. Floating coverage for scheduler absence and vacations as needed.
4. Supervises team to assist with renewal of Human Resources documents.
5. Supervises staff to ensure they:
a. Schedule visits according to approved scheduling requests.
b. Conduct timely review of telephony and other reports.
c. Ensure staff use professionalism and customer service.
d. Run Agent Summary Report and follow up with staff
e. Ensure all visit times are accurate and reasonable prior to posting payroll.
6. Conducts disciplinary action and counseling with schedulers and field staff as appropriate.
7. Responsible for accuracy of team census, and that all active patients are seen and cared for as
requested/ordered.
8. Enforces dress code and professional behavior of team members.
9. Coordinates staff PDO's, weekend, holiday, and On-Call coverage to assure adequate staffing at
all times.
10. Participates in Performance Improvement activities.
11. Understands current State and Federal regulations governing home health agencies.
12. Ensures quality and safe delivery of home health care and other VNS services by supervising and
directing field staff.
13. Coordinates human resources activities, such as recruitment, interviewing, monitoring hours
worked, productivity and turnover.
14. Review resume's and credentials for appropriateness of skills, experience and knowledge in
relation to position requirements.
15. Screens applications and interviews qualified applicants.
16. Ensures MD Orders and other needed paperwork is received by the agency in a timely manner.
17. Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree in business is preferred; one year of scheduling experience is required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals. Ability to write
routine correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively with the public and employees of
organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common
fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only
limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral,
diagram, or schedule form.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; talk and hear, use hands
to finger, handle, or feel. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The
employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must
frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific
vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.
