Join the MTM Transit Team We are seeking a Fleet Operations Supervisor (afternoon/evening shift) to immerse yourself in our organizational culture and values.

The Fleet Operations Supervisor plays a pivotal role in ensuring that all transportation operations align with corporate standards and adhere to relevant governmental regulations. This position is essential for maintaining the mechanical integrity and visual appeal of our fleet. The Fleet Operations Supervisor will oversee accident and injury investigations and address passenger feedback, particularly concerning safety issues. Additionally, this role is responsible for ensuring that all routes are adequately staffed with drivers and will create utilization reports to optimize routes and schedules to fulfill customer and client needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee street operations to ensure timely performance and adherence to schedules and routes.
  • Assist operators with service-related or passenger issues.
  • Facilitate driver shift changes and transfers.
  • Respond to incidents by gathering all necessary information.
  • Accompany operators to medical facilities when required after an incident.
  • Provide insights to the Safety Coordinator regarding safety and performance concerns.
  • Ensure that evening shift drivers are fit for duty and comply with uniform standards.
  • Assist in on-road monitoring and prepare reports, offering recommendations for retraining.
  • Act as the manager on duty in the absence of the Operations and Safety Manager.
  • Coordinate next-day driver shifts in the event of callouts.
  • May serve as a relief driver when necessary.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or G.E.D. required.
  • College degree preferred.
  • A minimum of five years of current experience as a fixed-route driver.
  • Availability to work every evening until all buses have completed their final runs.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
  • Must hold a CDL class B with Air-brake Testing and Passenger (P) Endorsement.
  • Required to drive a company or rental vehicle (failure to pass an annual Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) background check may lead to termination).
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring work authorization sponsorship from our company now or in the future.
Competency-Based Qualifications:
  • Ability to gain comprehensive knowledge of MTM Transit operations, policies, and guidelines.
  • Strong organizational skills to schedule and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Moderate to advanced computer proficiency.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and interpretation skills.

Compensation: $19.00 per hour
