Position Type: Full time, nonexempt


About this position:

Baker Publishing Group is seeking a full-time Order Management Specialist. The primary responsibility of this position is to collaborate with the shipping department to ensure orders are entered and processed effectively and efficiently. This includes assisting with internal and external order inquiries and concerns through effectively fielding phone calls, as well as promptly and accurately processing orders, billings, and credits. The Order Management department assists the Finance and Production teams with a variety of related responsibilities, such as:

  • Collect, vet and validate sales tax certificates
  • Analyzing account information to reconcile and maintain billing documentation
  • Maintain key product data to ensure it is accurate and up to date

Qualifications:

  • Ability to keep momentum in tasks, despite constant interruptions
  • Careful attention to detail and accuracy in managing department procedures
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and sales tax compliance
  • Administrative experience with Excel and Outlook
  • Associate degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Skill in communicating through written and verbal correspondence
  • Ability to maintain a professional demeanor in communication

Compensation and Benefits:

Commensurate with qualifications and experience. As a full-time position, benefits offered include health, dental, vision, group life insurance, short- and long-term disability insurance, profit sharing, paid time off, paid parental leave, 401(k) after three months, and others.
