Senior Marketing Director, Baker Academic & Brazos Press

Ada, MI; or offsite

Hours

Full time, 40 hours per week, overtime with prior approval

FLSA:

Non-exempt


Position Objective:

The Textbook Marketing Specialists' primary objective is to place Baker Academic textbooks as required course materials at colleges and seminaries. This position will facilitate the Baker Academic email marketing efforts as well as list building, segmenting, and reporting. This person will also be a participant in the Baker Academic publication committee and represent Baker Academic at select academic conferences. Travel (approx. 3-4 times per year) is required.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage Baker Academic's email marketing program
  • Manage Baker Academic's list building, including growing our lists, segmenting, and reporting
  • Manage Baker Academic's CRM/email software
  • Monthly textbook reporting
  • Represent Baker Academic at the ETS and AAR/SBL conventions, and other academic conferences as assigned
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • A strong desire to be involved with religious and/or academic publishing
  • A bachelor's degree in biblical studies, communications, English, marketing, theology, or a related field
  • Two to three years of publishing or marketing experience
  • Email marketing and CRM experience preferred
  • Proven organizational abilities, attention to detail, follow-through, and project management skills
  • A proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Competency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
