RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performs program administrative and project management work in support of the Research Department. The work involves executing and managing program activities and projects, managing the research web pages, preparing reports, and planning for research department events as well as providing budget assistance, and preparing materials and communications under the direction of the Vice President of Research and Innovation while working closely with the Chief Medical and Innovation Officer.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Department/Administrative Responsibilities:

  •  Assists the VP of Research and Chief Medical and Innovation Officer with deliverables as assigned
  • Provides support for Research department-related contract processing as requested
  • Responsible for Salesforce integration for department activities and deliverables
  • Triage inquiries to the department on research and innovation projects
  • Coordinates the dissemination of research education both internally within the Foundation and externally through the local foundation network and on the web.
  • Work with EF staff to generate reports for the Professional Advisory Board and Board of Directors as requested.
  • Providing content/materials to the Marketing/Communications team when appropriate (i.e., Foundation Quarterly).

Management of Ongoing Research Projects:

  • Maintain Research Web Pages and routinely update the following pages:
    • Clinical Trials Portal
    • Device-a-pedia page
    • Pipeline Tracker Website

Project Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a project manager of the Research Ambassador Program which includes responsibilities such as:
  • Planning and tracking of timelines and checklists for tasks to be completed. 
  • Coordinate meetings with appropriate committees to execute the program.
  • Coordinates the production of meeting materials and communications with speakers, participants, and staff.
  •  Assists in the budget management of the Research Ambassador program and related expenses including venue and vendor contracts.
  • Acts as staff liaison with other project management/events/operations teams to manage logistical or administrative planning for the Research Ambassador Program
  • Manage event logistics and serve as internal point of contact (registration, ordering, and shipping materials)
  • Assists with managing project coordination events/operations team to manage logistical or administrative planning for research-related events for the Pipeline Conference, Shark Tank, and Research Roundtable for Epilepsy in a supportive role as requested by the Research Project manager, VP of Research and Innovation, and CMIO.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs related work as required, occasional administrative work.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Five years of progressively responsible experience in program administration.
  • Knowledge of neuroscience preferred

  • This is a full-time position, working 35 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM (est).
  • The Project Manager operates in a professional remote environment 
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear and will require staring at a computer screen and/or documents for extended periods of time, standing/moving around when filing for extended periods of time, some lifting (boxes, packages, office equipment) and moving tables/chairs to set up meeting spaces.
  • Travel will be required for Research Department events as requested
