Summit K-12 is a fast-growing educational publisher of online curriculum for PreK-12 with distribution throughout the US. We are searching for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to help support our growing team.

The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for processing inbound customer purchase orders and agreements, liaison with finance for customer billing, and collections. The position is challenging and fast-paced and will coordinate between a variety of groups, including Customers, Sales, Licensing, Professional Services and Accounting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensures proper maintenance of sales order for invoicing, collection, revenue recognition, and product fulfillment.
  • Ensure accurate transfer of orders from CRM to ERP system with high attention to order details.
  • Manages bank transactions as relates to cash collections, prepares daily bank deposits and posting of cash receipts.
  • Assist with order fulfillment and receipt of order fulfillment and tracking.
  • Assist finance in resolving discrepancies in customer payment plans, future ship delivery
  • schedules and coordinating customer contacts with collections department.
  • Accurate application of sales tax rates rules coordinating with finance for customer billing.
  • Assist in collection of Sales tax certification for new client accounts and coordinate client
  • maintenance with sales operations and finance.
  • General administrative tasks that may be required to keep customer records up to date, which may include managing payment portals and electronic invoicing information.
  • Accepts responsibility for the organizational goals by taking ownership of new and different duties and identifying new opportunities within the Finance department.
  • Work with various internal teams to implement identified changes.
Requirements:
  • 2 years customer service or Sale order experience with a history of proficiency in data entry
  • Experience in CRM or ERP systems a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office.
  • Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
  • Strong customer service ethic
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle pressure and strong personalities.
  • Team player attitude

TRAVEL: Willingness to travel within designated areas.
