Whole Harvest is seeking an experienced and talented Sous Chef who is passionate about cooking plant based food in Denver, Colorado. Our Sous Chef will be in charge of producing our ready to eat meals for weekly shipment all around the country.


Our mission is to make healthy eating easier for everyone with plant-based meals made from superfood ingredients that taste good and are good for you. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Executive Chef: Assist the Executive Production Chef in overall kitchen management.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to recipes, presentation standards, and safety procedures.
  • Food Preparation: Oversee and participate in the preparation and cooking of high-quality large batch recipes, ensuring consistency and excellence.
  • Quality Control: Monitor and maintain the quality of all dishes, ensuring they meet Whole Harvest’s standards for taste, presentation, and safety.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in managing inventory, including ordering, receiving, and storing supplies, and minimizing waste.
  • Kitchen Operations: Ensure that the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, including managing prep schedules, and maintaining a clean, organized and safe workspace.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and support to kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Must be bilingual (English & Spanish)
  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role within a high-quality, fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Flexibility to work early morning hours as needed.
  • Passion for vegan lifestyle and sustainable food practices is a plus.
