The Junior Cybersecurity Analyst reviews cybersecurity logs and events, including cloud, application, and endpoint monitoring. The position also manages security training for the organization covering normal security awareness, phishing, and developer security training. The analyst helps maintain the company’s security certifications including SOC2 Type II. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Engineering and Security.

Core Responsibilities
  • Monitor company endpoints for issues
  • Monitor the company’s cloud network for issues (AWS)
  • Contribute to application security development and testing
  • Manage security training (KnowBe4)
  • Manage the information security management system and linked components (Secureframe and integrations)
  • Complete vendor security assessments
  • Build, maintain, and execute runbooks for cybersecurity tasks, e.g.
    • Execute quarterly access audits
    • Execute annual vendor risk assessments
    • Coordinate policy creation, edits, and dissemination
  • Pass and maintain security certifications (e.g. CISSP)
Additional Responsibilities
  • Improve customer experience with security issues (Jira Software + Jira Service Management)
  • Work well with both engineering and non-technical stakeholders
  • Stay current with emerging security technologies
  • Provide recommendations for security improvements
Qualifications
  • Previous cybersecurity experience as an analyst (1 to 2 years)  or developer (3 to 5 years) or equivalent education (e.g. Associate in Cybersecurity)
  • Basic coding proficiency in one or more scripting languages
  • Basic Linux administration proficiency
Ideal Qualifications
  • Secureframe experience
  • SOC2 Type II experience
  • ISO 27001 experience
  • AWS experience/certifications
  • Basic/advanced Windows administration proficiency
  • Advanced Linux administration proficiency
  • Advanced TypeScript proficiency
