We are currently seeking a SOC Analyst (Tier 2) to enhance our Security Operations Center capabilities.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in a network security setting, particularly within a Security Operations Center (SOC), and demonstrate a solid understanding of standard cybersecurity deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

The SOC Analyst is responsible for:
- Providing initial response when a cybersecurity incident is detected
- Managing incident remediation and escalating to Tier 3 support as needed
- Conducting initial assessments of the attack's scope and the systems impacted
- Collecting data for further analysis
- Monitoring and analyzing cybersecurity events using SOC tools
- Handling and escalating Events of Interest (EOI) appropriately
- Generating and reporting Incident Response in accordance with established procedures
- Processing incident communications, including initial reports, follow-ups, information requests, and resolution activities

Minimum Qualifications:

- At least five (5) years of relevant experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
- Fundamental knowledge of cybersecurity best practices
- Availability to work DAY SHIFT B - 7AM-7PM on alternating Wednesdays and Thursday-Saturday.

Preferred Experience/Certifications:

- Security + Certification

Position Requirements:

The candidate must exhibit analytical thinking, possess effective verbal and written communication skills, make informed decisions, retain and recall details, interpret data accurately, maintain focus on tasks, adapt to changes, and manage stress effectively.

Regular attendance is essential, along with adherence to work schedules, participation in meetings, and meeting deadlines. The role requires proficiency in keyboarding, handling confidential information, performing mathematical calculations, staying organized, operating office equipment, and potentially directing others.

The candidate must have visual acuity, hand-eye coordination, and the ability to lift up to 10 lbs. Exposure to dust, humidity, and noise may occur.
