Overview:iCallidus is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to work directly with and independently from software engineers using manual and automated testing procedures to ensure system issues are identified and addressed prior to and after deployment. This role requires a proactive individual with strong technical skills, excellent communication, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Testing and Validation:

  • Create, maintain, and execute manual test cases for multiple sites and accounts using a variety of tools, including Section 508 compliance, performance testing, load testing, and mobile and tablet devices emulators.
  • Test new features and enhancements on various physical devices and emulators.
  • Implement automated testing processes to reduce workload and increase the efficiency and reliability of the QA process.

Defect Management:

  • Adhere to established ticketing, reporting, and workflow processes by isolating, replicating, and reporting defects within JIRA.
  • Verify defect fixes in JIRA and ensure thorough documentation.
  • Configure test environments to identify and track defects effectively.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Deliver test results, known risks, and impediments to project managers and development teams.
  • Participate in sprint planning sessions, daily scrums, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Collaborate with project managers and product owners to write and evaluate user acceptance criteria.

Standards and Documentation:

  • Develop standards and procedures for measuring product quality and release readiness.
  • Document features, implementations, and system planned/unplanned downtime.
  • Assist with on-call rotation and provide end-user assistance.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues reported by customers.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Experience:

  • At least 3 years of experience in Agile testing or at least 4 years of equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience with UFT and Selenium.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of scripting languages such as JavaScript and Python, and RESTful API testing tools.
  • Familiarity with open-source automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium).
  • Understanding of mobile and tablet device differences and various operating systems (Android, iOS, Windows).

Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Customer service orientation.
  • Thoroughly trained and experienced in system development and support.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
  • Positive attitude and open communication in a collaborative team atmosphere.
  • NIH experience is a plus.

Certifications:

  • Relevant certifications in quality assurance or testing are highly desirable.

Clearance:

  • Must possess or be able to obtain a security clearance as required by the contract.
