The Quality Assurance Analyst will be instrumental in guaranteeing the delivery of high-quality, secure, and dependable software solutions as part of the modernization initiatives for a suite of applications. Collaborating closely with development teams, stakeholders, and end-users, the QA Analyst will be tasked with executing comprehensive testing strategies and ensuring compliance with quality standards throughout the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on project specifications and design documents.
  • Conduct functional, integration, system, regression, and performance tests to validate software functionality, performance, reliability, and compliance with security standards.
  • Establish and maintain automated testing frameworks and scripts utilizing industry-standard tools.
  • Incorporate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and deployment.
  • Identify, document, and track defects thoroughly using appropriate tools.
  • Collaborate with development teams to prioritize and facilitate the timely resolution of identified issues.
  • Ensure adherence to quality assurance best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Engage in design and requirement reviews to provide insights on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential challenges.
  • Produce detailed test reports and metrics for management review.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of testing activities, findings, and outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including developers, business analysts, and project managers.
  • Communicate test progress, results, and other pertinent information to project stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Quality Assurance Analyst or in a similar capacity within software development projects.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, Cucumber).
  • Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Experience with cloud-based technologies (preferably Azure) and Agile methodologies (Scrum).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality software solutions.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Skills:

  • Certification in Quality Assurance (e.g., ISTQB) is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with database technologies and SQL queries.
  • Experience with DevOps practices and tools.
  • Knowledge of security testing techniques and tools.
