JOB SUMMARY: Territory Account Manager is responsible for managing assigned retail locations in accordance with established policies and procedures. This position is responsible for evaluating store performance and determining movement of product and making adjustments to displays and product to maximize profits and sales in customers retail locations.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions:

  • Manage all retail accounts assigned by Regional and District Manager ensuring that retail customers are maximizing profit and in accordance to established policies and procedures
  • Monitor sales performance of all accounts and review sales information with department/store manager on a regular basis and makes recommendations on best ways to move product and maximize profit
  • Take advantage of additional Off Shelf Opportunities available on a store-by-store basis with Department Managers approval to maximize exposure of product for increased retail sales
  • Maintain all service requirements of Excell Marketing (dealer call frequency, inventory guidelines, reorders, return percentages, and merchandising)
  • Responsible for execution of all advertising, promotional programs and special events ensuring that product in retail stores is positioned to maximize sales and profit
  • Continuously educating and collaborating with retail personnel on Excell’s partnership program
  • Collaborates with Store Management to perform new account set up, store resets, and store closings

  • Complete Quarterly Data Reports accurately and identifies areas of improvement and makes recommendations to Regional and District Manager
  • Maintain all company equipment according to the guidelines set by Excell Marketing L.C.
  • All other duties and special projects as assigned by Regional Manager

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
  • 2+ years of retail experience
  • Must be available to travel (will have occasional overnight stays, one or two nights a week at most- expenses paid)
  • College education and/or marketing and sales experience helpful
  • Must be able to lift and carry 35 lbs. boxes and team lifts up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand / walk for extended periods of time

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing with customers, coworkers, and supervisors
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office products
  • Ability to use all pertinent office equipment
  • Ability to collaborate with other disciplines and integrate related services into implementation
  • Display a professional and pleasant demeanor in dealing with co-workers, suppliers and customers

ENVIRONMENTAL AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS: The daily responsibilities of this position constantly require effective talking, hearing, sitting, walking and standing functions. The position also often requires reaching, lifting and carrying up to 35 pounds unassisted, balancing, stooping, kneeling, pushing, pulling, grasping, and feeling activities. Frequent repetitive motion activities are also required. Most of these functions require light physical exertion and are conducted in a temperature controlled environment with occasional exposure to hot and cold temperature.

INTELLECTUAL/EMOTIONAL REQUIREMENTS: The occupant of this position must be able to perform the responsibilities of the position well under pressure. Must be able to read print and computer based materials and to do so with consistent accuracy. The position requires adaptability to performing a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure. This position requires the ability to manage a number of projects at one time, and may be interrupted frequently to meet the needs and requests of others. It also requires adaptability to fluctuate between priorities on a daily basis while being responsive to needs as they arise.
