Position Title: Campus Coordinator
Campus: Tempe
Reports To: Campus Pastor
Status: PT Nonexempt (20 hours)

Position Summary: This position will work directly with the Campus Pastor to ensure key deliverables are completed, ownership of tasks are assigned/completed, and timelines are established and met. The Campus Coordinator will work closely with our Tempe volunteers and manage the volunteer process for Tempe. He or she will coordinate with all First Impression ministries on the campus (Greeters, New Here, Caf, Next Steps, Weekend Grilling/Beverage team) and work with Central Services to ensure that all aspects of each project/program/special events are done excellently from initiation to completion. This individual will also help coordinate First Groups and Rooted. This individual must fit within our collaborative culture, be a silo-buster, build teams and be geared towards thinking about future generations and how they are incorporated into First Impressions and Weekend Experiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage the follow up, scheduling, and engagement of First Impressions volunteers on the Tempe Campus.
  • Connect new First Impression volunteers and create teams that are diverse and represent the campus well.
  • Own and complete tasks on key projects and initiatives supporting the Tempe Campus.
  • Meet with ministry owners and ministry leaders as needed to ensure all deliverables are on schedule.
  • Keep the Campus Pastor in the loop on any problems and issues regarding volunteers, projects or special events.
  • Proactively assess Tempes processes and tasks, ensuring that they are complete, done correctly and efficiently.
  • Track first impressions spending and work with the team to ensure we are meeting budget objectives, making the Campus Pastor aware if there is a risk of going over budget.
  • Create tools, resources, and documents on Microsoft Office software.
  • Build a strong relationship with the Central staff and Tempe volunteers.
  • Oversee and lead First Groups and Rooted as required on Tempe Campus.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk sit; use hands to finger handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to twenty-five pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
