We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Program Manager to lead the Passenger Information Display Systems (PIDS) workstream, specifically focusing on the delivery of "PIDS 2.0" under a Platform-as-a-Service model. This strategic initiative requires expertise in the software development lifecycle (SDLC) using a hybrid Agile/Waterfall methodology. The ideal candidate will work independently with minimal supervision, manage direct reports or matrixed teams, and provide regular metrics-based and narrative reports to the Executive Committee and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate multiple project teams, vendors, and assets to ensure timely and cost-effective sequencing and execution of critical path milestones across several inter-dependent projects within the assigned program and overall portfolio.
  • Cultivate collaborative partnerships among stakeholders to enable scoping, financial, and resource decisions.
  • Identify, document, and elevate cross-organizational and vendor-driven dependencies, working with executives and peers to develop and implement appropriate dependency management processes.
  • Manage assessment of major changes to scope, schedule, and budget through appropriate Program and Enterprise governance approval mechanisms, and provide executive-level written status documents.
  • Support annual planning activities with senior leaders.
  • Ensure program financial performance and forecasting information is available for executives and government regulators.
  • Identify and evaluate risks associated with program execution, and work across the organization to establish and monitor mitigation plans.
  • Develop and maintain required program management artifacts, ensuring all projects have appropriate project management artifacts and processes in accordance with Project Management standards and applicable regulations.
  • Identify efficiencies and present recommended improvement opportunities at various management levels.

Required Skills & Work Experience:

  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant work experience in large program/project delivery (minimum budget of $5M).
  • Strong project and program management skills.
  • Strong focus on collaboration, team building, and customer service.
  • Highly motivated and self-directed.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Able to exercise independent judgment and take action on it.
  • Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, with a proven record of presenting to executive-level audiences.
  • Logical and efficient, with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks under pressure.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, MS Project).
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • PMP Certification in good standing.

Preferred Skills & Work Experience:

  • PgMP Certification.
  • Prior experience with passenger-facing technologies such as PIDS or Onboard Information Systems (OBIS).
  • Transportation industry experience delivering hardware/software systems.
