Duties/Responsibilities

  • Provide housing information to client
  • Explain lease to client, ensuring all questions are answered
  • Prepare and process paperwork to ensure timely signing of lease
  • Schedule housing set-up
  • Schedule Latino Outreach staff and volunteers for client's pickup
  • Act as a liaison between clients and landlords for housing maintenance and repairs
  • Refer clients to the International Institute's Immigration and Education departments and schedule follow-up appointments
  • Provide interpretation as needed for clients
  • Report any client concerns to supervisor and/or appropriate staff
  • Perform other appropriate duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Maintain confidentiality of all client information

  • Ability to diffuse client complaints

  • Ability to make quick, sound decisions

  • Understand and adhere to professional boundaries

  • Ability to prioritize, effectively manage multiple projects concurrently, and take ownership of work.

  • Ability to meet deadlines.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team as necessary.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of organization's information.

  • Must be meticulous, but able to maintain a balanced perspective in rapidly changing business circumstances.

  • Ability to work productively in a multicultural environment and demonstrate respect for differences.

  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft 365.


Other

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish

  • Ability to effectively communicate in English both orally and in writing.

  • Knowledge of community resources

  • Work occasional weekends and nights.

  • Must have a car and valid driver's license with proof of insurance


Education and Experience

  • Housing coordination experience preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in social work or relevant Human Service field required or 3+ years of experience.
