POSITION REQUIREMENTS (Required Tasks)

  • Create, maintain and monitor production schedules based on operational sequence and lead time requirements needed to meet shipping dates driven by sales forecasts and customer orders.
  • Collaborate with department supervisors to review build schedules according to capacity plans, ensure accurate production job releases, determine production plan status’ and establish recovery plans as needed.
  • Analyze, manage, and maintain adequate Purchase Req releases and WIP component inventory levels to ensure an uninterrupted flow of materials.
  • Use nesting software to create steel nests based on production demands while also considering optimal sheet utilization.
  • Maintain effective communication with process partners regarding customer demand changes, supply issues, new product introductions, ECO updates and other pertinent information that may affect our business operation.
  • Support MRB process through participation of root cause analysis, rework job creation and completion.
  • Seek out and participate in Continuous Improvements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

SKILL SET (Required Skills)

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years’ experience in scheduling, material planning and/or Supply Chain in a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent customer service skills with an emphasis on written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, Oracle preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically in MS Excel
  • Ability to take initiative and be able to work in a schedule-driven environment. Time management and prioritization is a critical function.
