Summary of Position

The Deputy Project Manager (DPM) supports the Project Manager and, in the absence of the Project Manager, oversees the operation of the project.

Essential Job Requirements

  • Understands the mission of the contract and assists in the development of office policies and procedures, ensuring that they do not conflict with any child support program regulations or policies.
  • Draws from all available resources, policies, Project Manager, State Agency staff and attorneys to answer inquiries.
  • Works closely with supervisors to monitor productivity and production goals and identify training needs.
  • Responsible for creating a positive and supportive work environment by supporting the Company's open door policy and by maintaining a professional demeanor under stressful circumstances.
  • In the absence of the Project Manager, provide leadership to the team and communicate any problems to the Project Manager.

Required Education

A Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.

Required Experience

  • Three years’ supervisory experience;
  • Three years’ experience working in child support is preferred;
  • Knowledge of child support rules, regulations, policies and procedures;
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word and Internet usage.

Required Skills

  • Ability to understand, explain, interpret and apply laws, rules and regulations associated with the child support enforcement program;
  • Excellent organizational, written, interpersonal and verbal communication skills;
  • Ability to execute many complex tasks simultaneously;
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and make independent decisions;
  • Knowledge of federal and state child support policies and procedures.
