Job DescriptionJob DescriptionNeuhaus Foot and Ankle is seeking an Administrative Specialist for a hybrid position in Smyrna, TN. This role is integral to our operations, focusing on managing the diabetic shoe process and providing robust support to our clinic teams. The ideal candidate will be a proactive self-starter with exceptional verbal and written communication skills, coupled with meticulous attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities
  • Calling Insurance companies to complete Prior Authorizations
  •  Contact insurance companies to confirm Durable Medical Equipment benefits within 3 business days of receiving Durable Medical Equipment request
  • Use most efficient manner available to obtain Durable Medical Equipment benefits: phone or portal
  • Communicate with patient regarding coverage and patient responsibility
  • Document in the EMR all contact regarding Durable Medical Equipment
  • Maintain internal documents
  • Electronically communicate patient information to insurance companies
  • Scheduling Patients
  • Communication to the clinic teams
  • Understanding the Diabetic Guidelines set by Medicare
  • Data Entry on Internal Systems for all Diabetic Shoes and Custom Orthotics

Requirements
  • Organized
  • Thorough knowledge of Excel or project tracking system
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Able to provide an exceptional client experience
  • Knowledge of basic office equipment: fax, phone, scanner, copier
