Strategic Insight, Ltd. is seeking an Office Administrator (Staff Associate/Support Staff) for our Dahlgren, VA location. This position part time to help us a few hours a week with office administration. From welcoming people at the front desk to ensuring that proper supplies are on hand in the office this position it is a simple and yet essential position.

Strategic Insight, Ltd. is headquartered in Arlington, Virginia, and has a significant historical presence supporting the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Dahlgren, King George, Virginia. Strategic Insight, Ltd. was established 1985, and for its’ 35 years has been committed to sustaining excellence and quality growth across our workforce as we strive to improve our clients’ services and products. Our staff members are engaged in the community as well. The office hours are negotiable, but generally are from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Originally established in 1918 as a naval proving ground for testing gun weapon systems, NSWC Dahlgren Division has evolved to focus on advances in technology in Warfare Systems Development and Integration. The NSWC Dahlgren Division is a leading research, development, testing, and engineering (RDT&E) organization within the Department of the Navy.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Part time, a maximum of 5 hours per week on site, and no remote capability,
  • Serve visitors by greeting, welcoming, and directing them appropriately,
  • Notify relevant employees when visitors arrive,
  • Answer visitors’ questions, calls, emails, and provide them with the relevant information,
  • Maintain visitor, employee, department directories, logs, and files,
  • Follow security procedures, such as monitoring the logbook and issuing visitor badges,
  • Manage conference rooms scheduling,
  • Help with planning and coordinating office wide meetings,
  • Keep an inventory of all office and cleaning supplies and work with corporate office to order more when needed,
  • Liaison with the building manager when something needs to be fixed within the office,
  • Maintain and assist with the office decorations and pictures, and
  • Sign for deliveries and ensure all mail and packages are distributed accordingly.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software,
  • Great attention to detail, and
  • Comply with this on-site job with no telework opportunities.

Education and Experience:

  • Highschool Diploma, and
  • Dependable transportation plan to and from the work location.
