The Payroll and Benefits Specialist is responsible to process the company’s payroll, ensuring pay is processed on time and in compliance with regulations.  Additionally, the Payroll and Benefits Specialist will assist with the administration of all benefits and retirement programs. Key Responsibilities: 

  1. Process payroll accurately and timely 
  1. Communicate with benefit administrators and team members regarding benefits 
  1. Communicate payroll reports to finance and leadership  

 

Essential Job Functions:  

  • Process and implements payroll including compensation, benefits, garnishments, taxes and other deductions 
  • Work with vendors to ensure efficiencies in systems used to process payroll including Zenoti and UKG
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions 
  • Ensure compliance with federal state and local payroll, wage, hour and benefit laws and best practices 
  • Facilitate audits with benefit and record audits as needed 
  • Work with benefit administrators and leadership to develop and offer comprehensive benefit plans 
  • Communicate benefit offerings to current team members and new hires; following up on elections 
  • Work with division leaders to process leave of absence request and paperwork: medical, personal, and FMLA 
  • Manage 401(k) and Roth 401(k) enrollments and communicate with administrator 
  • Submit benefit invoices 
  • All other duties as assigned 

 

Required Technical Skills, Education, Experience, Training and/or Credentials:  

To perform this job, team member must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.  

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related business 
  • 2-3 years experience in payroll administrator role or similar role 
  • Hands on experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software 
  • UKG experience highly desired 
  • A high degree of confidentiality 
  • Detail oriented; strong Excel skills required 

  

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:  

  • Includes working in a fast-paced, guest-facing office environment.  
  • Ability to sit for long periods throughout the day  
  • Ability to lift to 50 pounds
