Job Summary: The Director of Compliance is responsible for ensuring that the organization adheres to all regulatory requirements and internal policies. This role involves developing and implementing compliance programs, monitoring adherence to regulations, and managing compliance risks to protect the organization's integrity and reputation.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive compliance program that aligns with industry regulations and internal policies.
  • Oversee compliance audits and assessments to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and organizational standards.
  • Monitor changes in laws and regulations, and update compliance policies and procedures accordingly.
  • Provide guidance and support to departments on compliance-related matters, ensuring effective implementation of compliance practices.
  • Conduct training and awareness programs to educate employees on compliance issues and promote a culture of compliance.
  • Investigate and resolve compliance issues, including managing investigations and coordinating with regulatory authorities as needed.
  • Prepare and present compliance reports and updates to senior management and the board of directors.
  • Collaborate with legal, risk management, and other departments to address compliance challenges and enhance risk management efforts.
  • Lead and manage the compliance team, providing direction and support for professional development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree or Juris Doctor (JD) preferred.
  • Extensive experience in compliance, including experience in leadership roles and managing compliance programs.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements, compliance frameworks, and industry best practices.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement effective compliance policies and procedures.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional, Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager) are a plus.
