Head of Commercial Sales

360 Talent Avenue is working with a global leader in providing restaurant point-of-sale (POS) systems and payment processing solutions, helping restaurants streamline their operations, enhance customer service, and increase profitability. Our client is seeking a dynamic and strategic Senior Director of Outside Sales to lead and expand our restaurant client base across the US. Starting as a "Player-Coach," this role involves building and managing high-performing sales teams. Ideal candidates will have experience in scaling outside sales teams and selling technology or services in the SMB space.
Compensation: $150K-$200K base salary $300K OTE

As the Head of Sales and Strategy you will be responsible for:
Sales Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive outside sales strategy to achieve revenue targets and market growth.
- Identify and prioritize go-to-market strategies.
- Set sales goals, KPIs, and performance metrics for the sales team.
Team Leadership and Management:
- Start as a "Player-Coach" until the sales teams are fully built.
- Recruit, train, and manage outside sales representatives in various local markets.
- Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to ensure the team meets or exceeds sales objectives.
- Foster a high-performance sales culture focused on teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Market Expansion and Customer Acquisition:
- Expand in local markets throughout the US within the year, requiring heavy travel.
- Identify new business opportunities and establish strong relationships with potential restaurant clients.
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified leads and prospects.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to stay informed about industry trends and opportunities.
Sales Process Optimization:
- Streamline and optimize the sales process to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Implement sales tools, CRM systems, and best practices to enhance team productivity.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance data to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with marketing, product development, and customer support teams to align sales efforts with overall business objectives.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including presenting sales reports and insights to senior leadership.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain relationships with key restaurant partners to set up our "Referral Selling System" in various markets.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in outside sales, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in the technology, services, or POS industry.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and sales analytics tools.
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and support the sales team.
