Job Description: Join our forward-thinking aerospace team as a System Safety Engineer in Pontiac, MI. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive system safety analysis and develop safety assessment reports to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Create detailed fault trees and conduct functional hazard assessments to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Perform Failure Modes Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) to enhance system reliability.
- Develop and implement maintainability program plans and procedures to ensure efficient and effective system maintenance.
Requirements
Mandatory:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in safety principles, system safety analysis, fault tree creation, system hazard analysis, FMEA, and FMECA generation.
- Proficiency with MIL-STD-882, DI-SAFT-80102, SAE ARP4761.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance if needed.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with MIL-STD-1629, DI-SESS-81495, SAE ARP5580, SAE ARP4754, ASTM F3230, SAE ARP926.
- Experience with gas turbine engines and an understanding of turbomachinery failure modes.
