Known for their commitment to dependable propulsion technologies and innovative solutions, they are seeking a qualified individual to enhance their team.
Position Overview: This role is focused on ensuring the safety and reliability of aerospace systems. The position is based in an office environment and requires U.S. citizenship along with the capability to secure a government security clearance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive safety analyses, including Fault Tree Analysis and Functional Hazard Assessments.
- Perform fleet risk assessments and Weibull analysis to predict system reliability.
- Develop and execute reliability test programs.
- Conduct Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Root Cause Analysis.
- Manage reliability allocations, predictions, and assessments.
- Establish and maintain a robust maintainability program and associated procedures.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in safety and reliability engineering principles.
- Proven experience in system safety analysis, including fault tree development and hazard analysis.
- Familiarity with MIL-STD-882, DI-SAFT-80102, and/or SAE ARP4761 standards.
- Knowledge of MIL-STD-1629, DI-SESS-81495, SAE ARP5580, and/or ASTM F3230.
- Experience in constructing fault analysis per SAE ARP926 or similar methodologies.
- Intermediate to advanced understanding of gas turbine engines and turbomachinery failure modes.
- Strong grasp of electro-mechanical components and engineering principles.
- Ability to evaluate system designs for maintainability and create effective work instructions.
- Knowledge of gas turbine engine hardware and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
- Must be able to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance if required.
