Summary Description:

The Manager, Origination will play a pivotal role in driving lead generation, evaluating bid opportunities, and leading the creation of a new function within the Sales team. This role requires a blend of analytical skills, sales acumen, and Salesforce proficiency to provide support to our new construction and retrofit sales teams. The Manager, Origination will collaborate closely with the BD Managers, estimating, marketing, and operations teams to identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

  • Work with Sales leadership to create a new origination function to generate qualified leads for the outside sales teams
  • Manage lead sourcing, maintain prospect databases, and ensure coverage for new construction and retrofit market segments
  • Work with Sales leadership to design and setup workflows for lead sourcing, generation, and hand-off
  • Setup and perform outbound campaigns including phone and email outreach
  • Identify potential customers and decision-makers within target markets
  • Utilize Salesforce and other tools to track and manage lead generation activities, ensuring timely follow-up and nurturing of leads.
  • Monitor bid platforms and industry publications to identify relevant bid opportunities

Key Qualifications & Required Skills/Abilities


  • 1-2 years of experience in the commercial solar industry (preferred) or similar technical field.
  • 3-5 years of inside sales experience with proven success using phone and email outreach
  • Knowledge and understanding of grid-tied solar PV Systems and other renewable energy technologies.
  • Extensive experience with Salesforce CRM and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in documentation and data management.
  • Bachelors degree from an accredited institution.
  • Strong organizational skills, able to support multiple concurrent projects.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills/mindset.
  • Excellent time management skills - ability to meet deadlines, prioritize tasks, and delegate when appropriate.
  • Confident and capable of holding others accountable.

 

The starting annual base pay for this role is between USD $75,000 and $125,000. The actual base is dependent upon many factors, such as: location, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
