Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled System Administrator to join our clients team in Plano, TX. This position will play a crucial role in maintaining network and system operations to support our development teams and customers. You will work collaboratively within a team environment, ensuring smooth operations and resolving issues as they arise.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage network setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

  • Perform system setup, integration, and validation of network devices (hardware/software).

  • Conduct system maintenance for servers, workstations, and network elements.

  • Support design, validation, and configuration management of lab systems.

  • Administer system access and ensure information security compliance.

  • Monitor system performance, support capacity planning, and disaster recovery.

  • Manage budgeting needs for engineering lab space.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience

  • Strong knowledge and experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, Microsoft Hyper-V, Nutanix AHV, KVM).

  • Experience in network administration/architecture (Cisco, Juniper, Brocade, etc.).

  • Proficiency in administering server operating systems (Windows & Linux).

  • Experience with VMware vRealize and lab automation tools.

  • Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and scripting languages (Python, Linux).

  • Expertise in VMware, IPv4, and IPv6.

Must Have:

  • Experience with VMware, IPv4 and IPv6
