Role Overview:

Position: Windows Administrator

Experience Required: 7 - 15 years

Work Mode: 5 days in-office, rotational shifts

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducted comprehensive audits of Active Directory (AD) objects and user permissions across platforms.
  • Provided architecture, administration, installation, optimization, and troubleshooting for Windows server systems.
  • Managed user accounts on both Windows and UNIX platforms, including creation, deletion, permissions, and VPN access.
  • Developed organizational units in Active Directory and managed user security through group policies.
  • Oversaw Group Policy Objects (GPOs) throughout the Active Directory enterprise.
  • Created and maintained email addresses and distribution lists in Microsoft Exchange.
  • Compiled data to assist technical writers in developing IT onboarding manuals and prepared reports for system enhancement testers.
  • Executed Active Directory consolidation projects for multiple global clients.
  • Administered DNS, DHCP, and WINS services.
  • Provided Level 3 support for Active Directory-related issues.
  • Facilitated the transition of users from various legacy domains into a unified IT infrastructure.
  • Collaborated closely with Microsoft to identify risks and implement remediation strategies for domain health and future planning.
  • Demonstrated excellent scripting skills in PowerShell, Batch, and VBScript.
  • Conducted intra and inter-forest Active Directory migrations.
  • Assessed and evaluated Active Directory environments and presented findings to stakeholders.
  • Possessed strong knowledge of Active Directory in multi-forest environments.
  • Gained experience with centralized Identity Management tools such as IAM (Identity & Access Management).
  • Exhibited strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Understood Active Directory integration with various applications.
  • Managed promotion and demotion of domain controllers.
  • Configured new DNS zones and forwarders in Active Directory.
  • Performed authoritative restores.
  • Executed bulk changes in Active Directory using PowerShell.
  • Modified Domain Level GPOs.
  • Created sites, linked subnets, and configured costs.
  • Troubleshot replication and name resolution issues.
  • Conducted metadata cleanup.
  • Published ADMX templates.
  • Administered enterprise and schema settings.
  • Upgraded Active Directory schema.
  • Managed DHCP scope settings.
  • Established and removed forest and domain trust relationships.
  • Reviewed and approved changes to group policies.
  • Executed registry changes on domain controllers.
  • Transferred or seized FSMO roles.
  • Raised functional levels.
  • Created delegation permission models.
