Betts Company is seeking a highly motivated and experienced HR Manager to join our team In this role, you will collaborate closely with the HR Director to design, recommend, and implement HR processes, strategies, and initiatives that align with and support our overall business strategy. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and strategic thinker, adept at handling a wide range of HR responsibilities to ensure a positive and compliant work environment. Fluency in Spanish is essential, as the candidate must be able to effectively communicate both complex and general HR-related matters to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main point of contact for employees, addressing their concerns and resolving conflicts to ensure a positive work environment.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for employees requesting Leaves of Absence, guiding them through the application process and providing necessary information.
  • Maintain confidential and accurate records for Leaves of Absence (LOAs) in compliance with privacy laws.
  • Conduct investigations and collaborate with leadership to address and resolve employee concerns.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in our HRIS (Paylocity).
  • Execute the end-to-end process of employee terminations, ensuring compliance with company policies and employment laws.
  • Conduct exit interviews and gather valuable feedback to enhance organizational practices.
  • Implement performance management systems, conduct performance evaluations, and provide feedback and coaching to employees.
  • Identify training needs, develop, and coordinate training programs to enhance employee skills and career development.
  • Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
  • Organize and manage the annual open enrollment process.
  • Manage compensation structures and ensure competitive and fair compensation practices.
  • Develop and enforce HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations.
  • Oversee HR administrative functions, including maintaining employee records, HR databases, and generating reports.
  • Foster a culture of engagement, organize team-building activities, and promote a positive work environment.
  • Lead HR projects and initiatives, such as employee wellness programs and change management efforts.
  • Act as the secondary contact for the recruitment and onboarding process of new hires, ensuring a seamless transition into the organization.
  • Manage the HR budget, monitor expenses, and optimize resource allocation.
  • Generate HR metrics and analytics to provide insights and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and other departments to support organizational goals and objectives.
  • Stay informed about employment laws and regulations, ensuring the company's compliance.
  • Conduct audits and assessments to ensure HR practices align with legal requirements.
  • Act as a secondary payroll processor as needed.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is required.
  • Professional HR certification such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives that align with organizational goals.
  • Experience in employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, recruitment, and HR compliance.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems, preferably Paylocity or similar platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting investigations and resolving workplace issues.
