Job Summary:

The Human Resource Compliance Specialist will be responsible for developing implementing and monitoring compliance programs policies and procedures to ensure adherence to federal state and local laws. This role involves conducting audits training staff and keeping up to date with evolving regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HR compliance policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with federal state and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Conduct regular audits of HR policies and procedures to identify and address compliance risks.
  • Provide training and guidance to HR staff and management on compliance issues.
  • Investigate and resolve compliance issues and complaints.
  • Maintain and update employee handbooks and other compliancerelated documentation.
  • Serve as a liaison with legal counsel and regulatory agencies as necessary.
  • Keep abreast of changes in employment law and ensure timely updates to company policies.
  • Prepare and submit compliance reports to management and regulatory bodies.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of HR programs and initiatives that support compliance objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in HR compliance or a similar role.
  • Indepth knowledge of federal state and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Strong analytical organizational and problemsolving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and MS Office Suite.
  • Certification in HR compliance (e.g. SHRMCP PHR) preferred.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in construction or manufacturing industry is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems and compliance auditing tools.
