About the Role

As our Associate Brand Manager - Appliances, you will support the Director of Marketing – Appliances with all brand activities and developments for our Professional Hair Care Brands. You will help develop, create and execute all marketing plans and activities to drive brand awareness and sales growth. You will work closely with internal cross functional teams to drive and implement our brand/category key initiatives, product introductions, promotional campaigns and digital activations. This is a hybrid position and will work onsite in our Century City office 2-3 days per week.


What You will Do:

  • Support the Director of Marketing with the development of the strategic brand direction, sales goals and implementation of marketing programs
  • Collaborate on product concepts and new developments, working closely with the Director, Product Manager, New Product Development (NPD) team, sourcing team, and vendors
  • Drive product packaging briefing and development
  • Partner with NPD team to identify product gaps and opportunities
  • Create impactful and innovative marketing programs, with a comprehensive 360 approach
  • Support Go-To-Market launch plans for new products and key campaigns
  • Help create content strategy and manage all brand assets (photoshoots, key campaigns, branded assets, and new product assets)
  • Analyze brand performance through multiple data sources and proactively develop actionable plans to drive sales
  • Support with product claims development, as necessary; this includes support in claims usage strategy, claims study design and execution (i.e. protocol development, survey creation, coordination with third party agency, etc.)
  • Independently complete consumer and competitive research projects; able to synthesize data, provide digestible insights, and deliver actionable steps to support brand development
  • Support with product testing and evaluations
  • Drive ongoing packaging updates
  • Generate sales-driving ideas and concepts to support key categories and best sellers
  • Manage and provide all cross functional and international partners with the key branding elements and brand style guides
  • Ongoing research business/marketing/ industry trends, analyze trend information and effectively anticipate the next big idea
  • Presentation of marketing initiatives to key groups, as needed
  • Participate in special events for the organization, as needed

Requirements:

What You’ll Need:

Skills:

  • Strong organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects through strong prioritization and planning
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate POV and inspire confidence across our cross-functional team
  • Attention to detail with a strong analytical acumen
  • Experience managing vendors and/or sourcing products
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems with cross-functional teams
  • Well versed in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or directly related field required

Experience:

  • 3+ years of Beauty consumer or brand marketing experience

Skills:

  • Experience with hair appliances product development and go-to-market is a plus

Competitive Compensation:

  • The expected base salary range for this position is $70,000 to $80,000. The exact base salary is determined by various factors including geographic location, experience, skills, and education.
  • Discretionary Bonus Plan: This position is also eligible for participation in the company discretionary bonus plan, based on personal performance and company results.
