Job Title: IT Support Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated IT Support Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide technical support and assistance to end-users, ensuring that IT systems and equipment operate efficiently and issues are resolved promptly.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-line support for hardware, software, and network issues via phone, email, or in-person.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical problems, including desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
  • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, applications, and software updates.
  • Assist with the setup and deployment of new IT equipment and systems.
  • Monitor and manage IT ticketing systems, ensuring timely resolution of support requests.
  • Document technical issues, solutions, and procedures in knowledge base and support documentation.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members to escalate complex issues and implement system improvements.
  • Maintain inventory of IT equipment and manage equipment lifecycle, including repairs and replacements.
  • Provide user training and support to enhance IT literacy and ensure efficient use of technology.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an IT Support Specialist or in a similar technical support role.
  • Strong knowledge of operating systems (e.g., Windows, macOS, Linux) and common software applications.
  • Experience with hardware troubleshooting and repair.
  • Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
  • Proficiency in using ticketing systems and remote support tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle technical issues under pressure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective user support and collaboration.
  • A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred. Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, ITIL) are a plus.
