The Opportunity: You will be at the forefront of delivering exceptional temporary wall rental and modular containment solutions for our commercial construction and facilities management clients. Your role will be to actively and aggressively pursue new business opportunities, generate and follow up on sales leads, nurture existing client relationships to drive growth, strengthen business partnerships, and exceed revenue targets.  

We’d love a smart, hungry person to knock this role out of the park by making our company the go-to temporary containment provider in the industry. You’ll learn a ton about growing a business while earning significant commissions and bonuses. 

Who We Are: Temporary Wall Systems is a rapidly growing national franchise offering sustainable temporary containment solutions for a range of applications and industries, complete with turn-key service businesses can count on. 

The two owners of the Greater Washington territory are longtime friends and experienced business executives with careers spanning the tech, finance, and consulting industries. We operate as a small, tight, highly supportive team that believes in frequent direct communication, transparency, accountability, treating our customers and stakeholders with integrity, and bringing a growth mindset to everything we do.  

We care far more about a positive attitude, willingness to learn and grow, and excitement to build relationships with the construction and facilities management industries in the Greater Washington area than we do any individual qualification. We’re having a lot of fun building this business and hope to find someone for this role who’s excited to partner with us. 

What You’ll Do: 

  • Identify and contact industry decision-makers 

  • Network consistently via direct outreach, attending events, and leveraging established relationships 

  • Generate and aggressively pursue sales leads 

  • Create new methods or strategies to reach monthly goals for product revenue to increase company profitability 

  • Conduct highly effective sales presentations; prepare and deliver estimates to prospects 

  • Build and manage an accurate client database 

  • Maintain consistent contact with pre-existing clients to ensure strong partnerships and expand market share within their organization 

  • Coordinate with project managers to schedule installation, maintenance, and removal of containments 

  • Actively participate in marketing campaign design and execution 

  • Set and achieve sales goals and all relevant metric targets (weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly) 

  • Maintain a strong understanding of product inventory, features, and technical specifications to answer specific customer questions 

  • Attend weekly team meetings and provide information to management about sales figures, objectives, and challenges 

  • Represent the TWS brand in a professional and accommodating manner at all times 

  • Adhere to all Temporary Wall Systems policies and procedures  

Details: 

  • This is a full-time role with a competitive base salary and generous, uncapped sales commission structure. 

  • Our company operates remotely based in the Washington DC Metro Area. This role will therefore mostly work remotely, but you must be based in the region and easily able to attend in-person client meetings, job site visits, and industry events. We also aim to meet in person as a team once every 2 weeks, but this is flexible. 

  • This is a B2B, relationship-focused sales role. The sales cycle in our industry can run for several months, but new opportunities may suddenly arise that require an “all hands on deck” approach to close. The right candidate for this role is therefore comfortable building relationships over the long term (recognizing that closing a sale may take some time) while being willing to jump on any opportunity with a “whatever it takes” mentality. 

  • There is no sales quota or minimum for this role, but you will be evaluated on revenue-generation activities like outbound phone calls, leads generated, meetings created, etc. As the owners and managers, we will hold you accountable for these metrics but will also actively support you and help ensure your success through direct mentorship and coaching. The right person for this job is comfortable with being held to sales metrics and possesses the drive and growth mindset to independently achieve these numbers and expand the definition of success for the role over time. 

  • Some early career experience in B2B sales (particularly in the construction or facilities services industry) would catch our eye but is not a requirement. We also love to see candidates with a track record of service or impact (military veterans, local volunteering, etc.)
