This non-profit membership association conducts more than three hundred payroll training conferences and seminars across the country each year. In addition to producing a variety of publications geared to the payroll practitioner, we offer two certifications to validate the professional’s body of knowledge.

We are currently in search of an entry level Human Resources Assistant. This San Antonio, TX area remote based position is responsible for performing administrative tasks to support effective and efficient operations of the Human Resources department on behalf of PayrollOrg (PAYO) and our affiliated companies. The successful candidate serves as a liaison between the department, payroll, and staff.

Essential Functions:

  • Provides administrative and clerical support to the HR department.
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
  • Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource department business.
  • Processes required paperwork not limited to employee transfers, changes in job classification, salary increases, and other related employment actions.
  • Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
  • Acts as a liaison the HR department, payroll, and staff , and also between benefits providers and vendors.
  • Assists with or may conduct new hire orientation.
  • Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations.

Required Education and Experience

  • Associate’s degree in related field; degree may be replaced with any combination of college coursework, HR certificate or certification, HR internship, or other HR-related experience.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Prior related HR department support experience preferred.
