Broad Function: Teaches doctoral-level courses in the APA-accredited PsyD Academic Program, serves on doctoral project committees, and advises students.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Teaches three courses per semester.
- Prepares course syllabi and materials, including lectures and exams.
- Submits student grades to the Registrar’s Office by deadline.
- Participates in Comprehensive Doctoral Examinations.
- Supervises students working on Doctoral Research projects.
- Participates in student admission process.
- Performs student advisement.
- Participates in accreditation process.
- Monitors students needing remediation.
- Participates in faculty meetings.
- Conducts mid-term and final student evaluations twice a term.
- Submits required academic reports and forms, in a timely and accurate manner.
- Actively participates in institutional meetings and committees.
- Maintains required work hours, including posted office hours.
- Participates in Annual Graduation Ceremony.
- Reports to the Program Director.
- Encouraged to conduct research, apply for grants, and publish in professional journals.
- Maintain professional membership in professional organizations, participate in continuing education activities, and professional licensure in good standing.
- Other duties as assigned by the Program Director.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Full-time faculty members must hold a Ph.D. or Psy.D. degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an APA-accredited program. Applicant must also be licensed or licensed eligible in the State of Florida.
