Position Summary:

The HR Manager at Old Wisconsin Sausage will serve as a strategic business partner to the plant operations team, overseeing the HR function for two manufacturing facilities, a distribution center and a retail store. This role requires a blend of HR expertise, leadership skills, and operational understanding to support the company's goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • HR Leadership: Lead and manage all aspects of the HR function for two manufacturing facilities, ensuring alignment with company policies and procedures.
  • Employee Relations: Handle employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, investigations, and performance management.
  • Safety Program: Will own the administration and execution of the safety program for all locations.
  • Recruitment and Staffing: Manage full-cycle recruitment processes, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding of new employees.
  • HRIS Management: Utilize HRIS systems effectively to maintain employee records, generate reports, and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Compensation and Benefits: Support compensation and benefits administration, including payroll processing and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Training and Development: Work with Training Coordinator to develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. This includes the company’s social compliance audits and company handbook updates.
  • Employee Engagement: Promote a positive work environment through initiatives that foster employee engagement and retention. This includes assistance with planning employee events, employee communication and recognition.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • SHRM Certification (SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP) preferred.
  • 5+ years of proven experience in HR management, preferably in a manufacturing or similar environment.
  • Strong HRIS proficiency; experience with HRIS implementation is a plus.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
