Human Resources Manager

The HR Manager will plan, direct, and coordinate the human resource activities, coordinate training, and facilitate company policies and procedures.


Responsibilities

  • Identify staffing needs, recruit, initially interview and make recommendations of hiring
  • Coordinate new employee onboarding efforts and improvements as needed
  • Monitor and improve company performance relative to headcount goals
  • Provide all employees with information on company policies, wages and benefits
  • Ensure compliance with employment and wage and hour laws
  • Calculate, enter, and complete checks for weekly hourly payroll
  • Administer open enrollment, update employee records, and check billings for all insurance benefits
  • Maintain and administer employee benefit programs for shoes and safety glasses
  • Review compensation to remain competitive
  • Manage safety compliance, supplying reports on safety issues
  • Advise on policy development; maintain and update Employee Handbook as needed
  • Attends and actively contributes to daily meetings relevant to scheduling, labor, safety, quality, etc.
  • Collaborate with local educational institutions for internship opportunities
  • Monitor and maintain the employee suggestion system
  • Support safety initiatives including safety audits, incident investigations, and maintaining the OSHA 300 log when necessary
  • Performs other duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • High School diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 5+ years of experience preferably within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with ADP payroll system is beneficial experience to have
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet applications
