POSITION SUMMARY:

Works under minimal supervision under the Operations Manager and has the primary responsibility to develop and coordinate operational process for various EMIC projects. In addition, manages all activities of designated projects, initiatives and events to ensure that the time, cost and performance objectives are accomplished according to the project scope, schedules and budgets; follows through to successful completion on implementation details of various projects, initiatives, activities and events. Interacts with departments in gathering, analyzing and reporting information for ministry sponsored projects and functions of the Church.


PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leads an interdepartmental team to complete an assigned project on time, to specifications, and with accuracy and efficiency
  • Serves as a project administrator to assist leadership in making various decisions.
  • Utilizes Microsoft Office Suite to assist in capturing data, reporting data, developing proposals, and building presentations.
  • Defines the scope of projects by establishing clear project statements, objectives, work breakdown and resource requirements in accordance with accepted standards, ministry policies and vision
  • Coordinates project activities
  • Recognizes and recommends operational improvements
  • Provides guidance, coordination and assistance to staff and team members regarding project management of Events/Projects
  • Anticipates future needs and problems relating to the team in order to minimize potential service issues and to ensure the overall success of the team
  • Oversight of project related volunteer teams
  • Possible participation and involvement in Sunday/Wednesday services at various levels
  • Consistent, open communication with Pastoral staff
  • Discuss new and creative ways to enhance policies and procedures within the department
  • Investigates, research, compiles, and expedites information and objectives set forth by said Executive Director.
  • Handles confidential information, exercising considerable discernment, judgment, and discretion in completing assignments.



Requirements:

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education and Experience:

  • High school or GED required
  • College Degree preferred
  • Must be computer literate and be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of biblical truths

EQUIPMENT TO BE USED:

  • Computer, fax machine, copier/printers, telephone, easel and any other equipment common to a standard office setting
  • Will be required to drive a vehicle from time to time


TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Able to lift 30 lbs.
  • Require manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office machines such as computers, telephones and other office equipment
  • Must be able to work several hours per day at a computer
  • Must be able to move quickly to differing locations throughout ministry to oversee projects
  • Requires normal range of hearing and vision
  • Must be able to travel by commercial aircraft

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Work in a normal office environment, various locations on property for events or projects as well as youth service environments (auditoriums, etc.). Weekend and evening hours may be required as well as overnight travel
