Summary/Objective

The Senior Learning and Development Strategist serves as the strategic thought leader for innovating new products and services on behalf of PayrollOrg (PAYO). The successful candidate is adept at identifying and developing organic market solutions from concept to execution. The Senior Learning and Development Strategist operates in a cross functional, business solution driven environment.

Essential Functions

  • Identifies marketplace needs through comprehensive market research and analysis. This process includes engaging industry experts, advisory groups, committees, conferences, subject matter experts, and member/customer community to address the emerging and changing educational requirements of payroll industry practitioners.
  • Provides conceptual leadership in the development of professional learning, and new products and services.
  • Prepares and presents product business cases, including project scopes, cost/benefit analyses, ROI, and program viability.
  • Develops initial content, then partners with instructional design team to bring materials to fruition.
  • Assesses program success and recommends enhancements, improvements, or sunsetting based on performance outcomes.
  • Relies on data and information, both qualitative and quantitative, to deeply analyze and understand customer and business needs.
  • Leads cross-functional teams to develop learning programs from concept to execution.
  • Serves as project manager, develops project roadmaps and ensures on-time delivery.
  • Maintains knowledge of professional and industry trends, emerging trends, and partnerships that can enhance PAYO’s offerings and integration capabilities.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of product management experience in product or 5 years of product management experience.
  • Experience creating artifacts such as user stories, functional requirements, and business requirements for products and features.
  • Comfortable conducting customer interviews to understand customer needs.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Experience with membership or association environments.
  • Knowledge of current trends in education, specifically in content development and instructional design, is highly desirable.
