COMPANY INFO:

Our client is located in the Boston area and are looking to bring in an experienced Sales Account Manager for residential construction projects. They are a unique company with both commercial and residential construction projects but there is a great deal of company growth on the residential side. Their work on the residential side involves design and interior construction or renovation.

The company has a showroom of very high end construction materials used in their projects (marble, granite, quartz, exotic stones) used in projects. Most growth is on the residential side & on average, projects run about $2M each (i.e. a bathroom at $800k and so on). They offer a competitive base and commission package based on experience plus benefits.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Greeting and educating customers, ascertaining their needs, and providing world class customer service
  • Calculate square footage and other requirements, assist with selection of materials and preparing estimates
  • Manage pricing and contract negotiation
  • Coordinating with internal staff and outside contractors to accommodate project target dates
  • Communicate effectively with team members and managers to guarantee results
  • Take initiative to successfully complete task at hand
  • Timely and organized responsiveness to multiple requests for information and updates
  • Guarantee customer satisfaction
  • Attend job sites for meetings, inspections, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior Sales Account Management experience in construction materials including Marble & Granite
  • College Degree or Professional Trade Related Training
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Experience with bids and submission of estimates, contract review and administration
  • Excellent problem solving, time management and ability to think outside the box
  • Ability to read and comprehend construction/shop drawings/bid packages
  • Experience working with Architects, Designers and General Contractors
  • Ability to visit construction and building job sites. Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Must be able to work Saturday mornings
