Location: Luzianne Tea Manufacturing Plant at 5601 Chef Menteur Highway
1st Shift Hours: Monday-Thursday 4:30am-3:00pm

Job Summary: The COFFEE PROCESS OPERATOR is responsible for safely operating coffee equipment in the processing area ensuring that quality products are produced timely and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

  • Operates processing equipment efficiently according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s), and food/employee safety requirements and guidelines
  • Starts up and shuts down sequencing of processing equipment
  • Learns and maintains standards for product specifications, blends and recipes
  • Performs preventative maintenance and minor equipment adjustments on Processing equipment
  • Utilizes Digital Production System (Redzone) to track downtime and perform quality compliance
  • Accurately completes all quality, product batch data, traceability, and production paperwork
  • Reports any product deficiencies, food or safety concerns to supervisor
  • Maintains a safe and clean work environment and assists with product change overs
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED; AA Degree in Process Technology helpful
  • 2+ years of machine operator/production experience preferred
  • Technical skills include the ability to operate processing equipment, start up/shut down sequencing, basic preventative maintenance and basic HMI computer skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to follow rules and directions
  • Positive attitude, team player and self-leadership
