Job Summary:

The Processor is responsible for safely operating coffee equipment in the processing area, ensuring that quality products are produced timely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate Processing Equipment: Safely operate coffee equipment in the processing area, adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) and food/employee safety requirements and guidelines.
  • Perform Start-up and Shut-down Sequencing: Demonstrate the ability to perform start-up and shut-down sequencing of processing equipment.
  • Maintain Quality Standards: Learn and maintain standards for product specifications, blends, recipes, and acceptable quality specifications.
  • Perform Preventative Maintenance: Perform preventative maintenance on processing equipment, including cleaning, lubricating, and visual inspection.
  • Utilize Digital Production System: Utilize the Digital Production System (Redzone) to track downtime, perform quality compliance documents, and communicate with support functions.
  • Complete Quality and Production Paperwork: Accurately complete all quality, product batch data, traceability, and production paperwork.
  • Report Deficiencies and Concerns: Report any product deficiencies, food or safety concerns to the supervisor.
  • Maintain a Safe and Clean Work Environment: Maintain a safe and clean work environment and assist with product changeovers.
  • Follow Safety Procedures: Follow all safety procedures and actively participate in safety training and safety system ownership initiatives.
  • Report Injuries and Accidents: Report any injury, accident, and/or unsafe condition to the supervisor immediately.
  • Support GMP's and Emergency Action Plan: Support and comply with GMP's; understand and follow the emergency action plan.
  • Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or GED; AA Degree in Process Technology helpful.
  • Experience: 2+ years of machine operator/production experience preferred.
Qualifications:
  • Technical Skills: Ability to operate processing equipment, start-up/shut-down sequencing, basic preventative maintenance, and basic HMI computer skills.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Good verbal and written communication, good time management skills, and the ability to follow rules and directions.
  • Leadership Skills: Positive attitude, being a team player, and self-leadership.
